DescriptionTime: 10:00 AM Freestyle Mass Start 21K & 42K
Cost: $30 (21K), $35 (42K) GMNC Members = $5 off
Registration: Online or race day @ 9am Skyway parking lot (cash or checks)
Race Course: The course will be one (21km) or two (42km) laps on a 21km loop of rolling terrain. The course will circumnavigate the entire Skyway and County Line Trail Systems. Starting at Skyway, the course will follow Lions Loop to Scales Lake Road then Tower to Dog Loop. Aid Station (#1) will be located at the Country Line Trailhead. From here, the course will continue via Overlook to Tower to Kannah Crossing back to Vista Valley, Lions Loop to Sunset and finish at the near the Skyway warming hut. For the 42k racers, there will be an Aid Station (#2) near the Skyway warming hut and they will repeat the course in the opposite direction. Trail maps can be found at http://www.gmnc.org. Average race elevation is over 10,500ft!
