“Observing Highlights for 2016” is the discussion topic at the January 19 Black Canyon Astronomical Society (BCAS) meeting. 2016 features many astronomical spectacles, including a January comet, Mercury crossing in front of the Sun in May, the best views of Mars since 2005, and Saturn with its beautiful rings throughout the summer.
